We had a very successful reunion in Albuquerque, NM this last September and now that the excitement has settled down I’m getting around to taking care of unfinished business.  This was our first co reunion with the members of the USS Jupiter, AK 43 - AVS 8 and it turned out to be a blast.  We had a total attendance of 73 and hope for a larger turnout in Seattle next year.
The reunion registration donations and money collected at the reunion amounted to $350 which I have enclosed with this letter. The DDG22 website also has a link to the Adams Class Veterans Association which encourages members to be informed and contribute.  We understand the challenges you face to bring the Charles Adams to Jacksonville and wish you the best in these endeavors. When that day comes we will be back in force along with the Jupiter crew for our reunion in Jacksonville 2015.
Sincerely yours,
John DishawTreasurer,

Our guest speakers at the Saturday night banquet were Joe Snowberger,webassets/Snowberger.jpg executive vice president of the Jacksonville Historic Naval Ship Association
and Commander Mary Crawford USN (ret), webassets/MaryCrawford.jpgtreasurer of the Association.  Their passion for the project of bringing the Adams DDG-2 to live on the Riverwalk in downtown Jacksonville is very evident.
On the registration form for the reunion, there was a space to make a donation to the preservation of the Adams ship and we presented a check for $500.00 as the amount donated by our sailors.
Henry Koopman won the big prize of $175.00 in our 50-50 drawing and promptly presented it to Mary & Joe.
